A action packed night of fights Glenn “The Bomber” Donaire (19-5-1, 10 KOs) lost a 12 round unanimous decision to Omar “Lobito” Soto (23-9-2, 15 KOs) in a bout for the vacant NABO flyweight title on Friday night at the A La Carte Pavilion in Tampa, Florida.
Flyweights Glenn Donaire- Omar Soto battle it out starting with a slow pace Donaire landing nice combinations to Soto witch responded with good counterpunching catching Donaire with nice hard right. In two Doniare starts off quick landed a hard upper cut both fighters starting to heat it up Doniare looking relaxed starting to mix it up with Soto getting the best of him in the round.
Donaire keeping the pressure but Soto landing nice right hands to the face of Donaire, Three little harder to score Soto countering and coming over the top Donaire still catching him coming in both fighters opposing their will.
Donaire making a fight Soto has all the weapons but sitting on his right hand, Donaire showing a punching clinic but Soto really getting close to Donaire response with low blow was warned by the referee, Soto establishing himself by fighting harder in the fourth I have it even at this point.
Soto continues to find those moments too attack Donaire who is taking away his jab by good head movement, Donaire getting closer in the round landing punches to the countering Soto who doesn’t move his head that much Donaire in five.
Both fighters showing their grudge in this round in so far a roller coaster fight very technical but Soto lifted in the round busier. Soto closes the show just all over Donaire in the Championship rounds becoming the spoiler taking the win by scores of 118-110 twice and 116-112.
