Few believe the Brooklyn streets are paved with gold, One such dreamer in quest of fame and fortune is 20 year old Teofimo Lopez who is known in the sport of boxing as “The Take Over”
Lopez Promoted by TopRank, Inc. tonight is making himself felt in the 135 lbs division weight class as Lopez drew national notice on ESPN with his spectacular one-sided victory over William “BabyFace” Silva.
The highly regarded lightweight Teofimo Lopez (10-0, 8 KOs) from Brooklyn, impressively destroyed William Silva (25-2, 14 KOs) for the vacant WBC Continental Americas title on Saturday night at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
Clearly with out question right from the opening bell jumping on Silva with hard jabs and quick hand speed.
Silva climbed into the New Orleans ring ironically with a very poor plan of execution in the fight, Lopez battered Silva with left hook right hand beating Silva to the punch creating space moving in angles getting Silva’s attention
Lopez dropped Silva in rounds one as he gets to the inside easily as Silva came forward a little wide gets caught with a punch that splatters blood from his nose.
There was not much Silva could do leaning in too much being a little desperate countering and not stepping back after Lopez lands another hard combination that drops Silva to the canvas in round five.
Enough was enough, for what ever reason Silva was sent out to fight in round six to absorb more punishment, Lopez continued to batter Silva dropping him at the official time of :15 seconds of round six by KO victory for Lopez.
