Top rated world title contender Danny Roman (22-2-1, 8 KOs) has wrapped up what is undoubtedly the most important training camp of his career.
Roman arrived in Japan last week for his WBA Super Bantamweight Championship showdown with Shun Kubo (12-0, 9 KOs) set for this Sunday, Sept. 3, from the Shimazu Arena in Kyoto.
The 12-round world championship fight is promoted by Shinsei Boxing Gym, in association with Thompson Boxing Promotions.
Roman, 27, has won 14 straight fights dating back to March 2014. During that streak, he won the NABA championship and made four successful defenses. In January, the Los Angeles native knocked out the highly ranked Adam Lopez in the ninth round in a WBA title eliminator – which earned him the right to face Kubo.
