Cruz Belts Cota, Valentin Stops De La Rosa

Cruz making a strong case for himself knocking out his last three opponents went toe toe toe in a durable rematch against Cota who came to fight finding himself being a little desperate counterpunching but not stepping back after he lands his shots Cruz fighting very slick makes Cota pay for it sending him down to the canvas in the second and seventh round. Cota giving up to much offense for defense couldn’t but simply stay away from from Cruz power.
Welterweight “Hurricane” Sammy Valentin (9-0, 7 KO’s) coming off of his win two weeks ago against Glendwin Ortiz in Kissimmee, Florida. The red Hot Valentin enters the ring last night taking on Joaquin De La Rosa (6-1-1, 3 KO’s) quickly couldn’t adjust to Valentin’s fire power stopping De La Rosa with a devastating right hook that drops him at :45 seconds of round 4 by KO victory for Valentin.
Heavyweight Jose “The Dream” Medina (4-0, 1 KO’s) beats Tracey Johnson (4-4-4) from Boston, Mass. by ways of
Majority decision victory. Early on Johnson using his fighters mentality not afraid to go inside against Medina who battled Johnson hard both fighters getting hit with clean shots in a back and forth affair Medina pulls out the victory. Judges official scores 39-37 (2x) 38-38
Middleweight Connor Coyle (1-0, 1 KO) from Tampa, Florida. Making his professional debut this Irish pride warrior make no mistake about it showed from the opening bell that he was a headache for Euris Silverio (0-5) beating him to the punch right from jump with hard jabs and explosive combination putting Silverio down at the official time of 1:17 round 1 KO stoppage referee Dennis DeBon seen enough waves off the contest.
Welterweight Mark Reyes (3-0, 2 KO’s) from Tampa, Florida beats tough Curtis Waller (1-5-1, 1 KO) to a hard fought unanimous decision victory last night at the A La Carte Pavilion. Reyes started off keeping the jab on Waller who committed to make the fight interesting Reyes catching him all night with sneaky counter-hooks Waller not creating distance Reyes steps with him catching him as Waller pulls back. Reyes staying close as Waller leaning too much gets tagged with solid shots, Reyes pulls out the victory.
Middleweight Fernando Martinez (2-0) defeated Brandon Davis (1-5) Martinez by Unanimous decision victory. Martinez picked his spots landed hard hooks on Davis who was game, Martinez outside skills showed way to effective on Davis out punching him in route to the victory.
Lightweight Josue Loyola (1-0) from Puerto Rico wins his professional debut as he outworks Tom Mills (1-5, 1 KO) to a unanimous decision victory. Loyola with Orlando Cruz in his corner screaming instructions out to him. The young Loyola putting forth a great effort putting his punches together Mills coming in to wide Loyola showing better versatility Mills fighting too predictable couldn’t capitalize on Loyola movement and boxing skills. Judges scores 40-35 39-36 36-39 for Loyola.
