GONZALEZ-ARROYO ENTERTAINED THE SPORTS WORLD
Unified WBA and IBF middleweight world champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) scored a two round demolition of previously unbeaten IBF mandatory challenger Dominic Wade (18-1, 12 KOs) on Saturday night at the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood, California. Golovkin starts of quick putting his punches together in combinations quickly dropped Wade with a right hand at the end of round one. Wade started off with a popping jab kept very little distance the young fighter decided to fight small against “GGG” and what a huge mistake that was as Golovkin he just can’t say both there names in the same breath it’s too impossible Wade hit the deck was down twice more in round two and the tune up fight was halted. WBC flyweight champion Roman Gonzalez (45-0, 38 KOs) clearly boxing’s royalty hammered out a twelve round unanimous decision over McWilliams Arroyo (16-3, 14 KOs) on Saturday night at the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood, California. After a competitive round one, Arroyo establish showed he wasn’t here not to lay down but “Chocolatito” began to seize control. Arroyo didn’t back down at all fought in spurts but Gonzalez extremely busy puncher kept Arroyo vulnerable through his hard counterpunching, The sole of Arroyo’s right shoe fell off in round four but he had to continue with a faulty shoe. Gonzalez does what he does best rip away ferociously with his left hook and there wasn’t much Arroyo could do but continue to fight his heart out, Chocolatito’s relentless attack kept the game Arroyo under pressure the rest of the way. Scores were 119-109, 119-109, 120-108.
