featherweight contender Romulo Koasicha (25-4-1, 14 KOs) scored an impressive seventh round TKO over Guillermo “Borrego” Avila (15-4, 9 KOs) on Friday night at the Blackberry Auditorium in Mexico City. In round five Koasicha drove Avila into a corner and dropped him with a body shot. Another body shot put Avila down in round seven. The bout was halted by the referee after Koasicha’s follow-up barrage just as the bell rang.
