SOLIS-THOMPSON 2



Cuban, Odlanier “Sombra” Solis, will have a much anticipated rematch against American, Tony Thompson, tonight on a card presented by  promoter, Ahmet Öner, at the Gloria Sports Arena, in the Gloria Hotels and Resorts, Turkey.

In their first fight was last March. Thompson snatched victory via a split decision, following a very competitive bout, which was also held in Turkey.
 
This time around, Solis is absolutely determined to turn the tables and get the victory, with the WBC Continental Americas title on the line.
 
At the weigh in Thompson tipped 261 pounds, meanwhile Solis tipped 272 pounds.
 
In another interesting match, German, Aziz Karaoglu (2-0-0, 2 KOs) will face Italian, Maurizio Lovaglio (18-10-0, 11 Kos), with the WBC Mediterranean cruiserweight title at stake.
 
Both boxers didn’t have any trouble making the weight.

Allentown, PA – Christian Molina did not have much of an amateur background but he has been a quick study and has become one of the top prospects in the Lehigh Valley.

This Saturday he will look to go to 4-0 when he takes on pro debuting Stacey Anderson in a 4-round Jr. Welterweight bout at the Econo Lodge in Allentown, PA and is promoted by King’s Promotions.

In the main event, Frank De Alba will take on an opponent to be named in a 8-round Jr. Lightweight bout.

Molina, 27 years old of Allentown, PA had just five amateur bouts but has raced off to a perfect 3-0 mark with impressive wins over Dominic Goode, Jordan Morales and Josue Rivera and he now looks for a similar performance against Anderson. “Training has gone great. Anderson is a new opponent. All I know is that he has an MMA background,” said Molina. “I train hard I make the sacrifices to win. I look to box and I look to fight. I just do whatever it takes to fight that opponent.” The southpaw has already built up a nice following and wants to thrill the fans on Saturday night. “I just want to thank all the fans and especially the Spanish fans that will come out and support me this Saturday.”

Boxing Miguel Cotto at the Coliseo Guillermo Angulo Carolina this Saturday February 7th.

José ‘Wonder Boy’ Lopez who is unbeaten in 14 fights with 10 knockouts will be back after five months of his commented match against seasoned Mexican Roberto Castañeda in Caguas and this time collide with JOSEAN ‘The Train’ Figueroa (8-3-

1, 7 KOs) to 8-round super bantamweight division.

“We’re just 2 days of our struggle, work is ready and I feel 100% for this fight, no doubt we will win,” said Jose Lopez.

While the seasoned JOSEAN Figueroa confessed to being in top form “certainly am ready for this fight, we trained for several months and I feel great.

I know the Boy Wonder and you have to fight him smart and that matter.

n an attractive semiestelar combat flyweight division between Israel ‘The Crown’ Vazquez (9-1-2 and six knockouts) and Charlie Clemente (8-0 and four) which is scheduled for six rounds and 108 pounds,

the Bayamon Vazquez, son of Wilfredo Vazquez and brother Wilfredo ‘Papito’ Vázquez, will be looking reencarrilar his career after his first defeat, and will face an undefeated that, moreover, will be fighting in his hometown.

“I think it’s a fight I should win pretty comfortable,” Vazquez said.

“From what I’ve seen of him, I think I will try to box: I do not think it will stop fighting me.”

In his last fight, the first held last November in Caguas, Vázquez fell twice, losing by decision in six innings against veteran of a thousand campaigns, Miguel ‘Samurai’ del Valle, a fighter that had expired in 2012.

“I did not feel frustrated or blocked by this defeat,” Israel said.
