Baton Rouge, LA – Light Heavyweight Jeff “Left Hook” Lacy from St. Petersburg, Florida. Dominating in his return to the ring after a 3 year off, returned with bad intentions in-front of a sold out packed crowed at the Belle Baton Rouge Casino. Reports from press row were “Wowed” by the impressive launch of attack that veteran Jeff Lacy (26-4, 18 KO’s) placed on Martin “Smiling” Verdin from Dulac, LA.

Lacy jumped on Verdin right from the opening bell, Verdin floundered like a fish covering up with the attack to the body and head Lacy distributed, Verdin danced with Lacy in the middle of the ring with shots that were wide to slow to counter the tempo Lacy set in the bout early on.

Despite a few years of Lay off for Lacy It was clear to see his focus in the fight, Verdin stood there with no head movement taking shots from the on – coming Lacy who continued to box beautifully and give Verdin a hand full. It was “Bombs Away” Lacy did ‘not led up on the hard pressure he looked to get stronger as the fight went on Lacy scoring a TKO stoppage at 1:19 of round 3.
